Building relationships with other bloggers in your topic area or niche is a great way to continue the growth of your blog. By getting to know other blogs, you accomplish the following:
- You get the word out on your blog
- Other bloggers might like you and link to your articles
- Bloggers you know might allow you to post guest posts on their blog
- You can compare notes and strategies with them
- Help eachother out in every way possible
So how do you get to know other bloggers? Simple. Just write them an email and introduce yourself. Make sure your first introduction has nothing to do with trying to get something from them. Just let them know that you really like their blog and that you’d love to know some of the successes and failures along the way. If the conversation goes somewhere, you might be able to get into specifics about helping eachother out.
Over the years of me blogging, I’ve gotten to know a few quality bloggers where we bounce ideas off each other. This has been a very valuable resource for me and has saved me some time. Maybe most importantly, it has gotten my blogs out into the public arena through links from these established blogs.
