The last pre-launch phase of launching your blog involves installing the appropriate plugins. Wordpress plugins allow you to add functionality to your blog without writing code or doing it yourself. It’s amazingly easy and the options are endless.
There are a few plugins that I believe every blog should consider installing:
- All-in-One SEO – Handles basic search engine optimization settings for the blog
- Wordpress.com Stats plugin – view basic stats from the Wordpress admin panel
- Akismet or other comment spam protection
- Feedburner Feedsmith – integrate your RSS feed with feedburner
There are also many other features you can install such as similar posts plugins, most popular posts plugins, etc. If you can’t determine everything you need at the front end of the process, don’t worry as you can always add plugins later.
