In doing extensive research and in attempting to get my sites positioned for various keywords, I’ve determined that the length of time of which your domain name has been registered definitely plays an impact. Some of my newer sites with significant back links and quality content are placed behind sites that have been registered for several years.
Test this yourself. Check on the keywords that you’re attempting to place your websites for and do some research on the other sites that are listed high up in the resutls. You can check the number of backlinks then also check on the length of time since the domain was first registered. Check on the time using a DNS lookup.
