In addition to the popular monetization strategy of Adsense, many bloggers use in-text advertising to boost revenues for a site. I believe there is a definite trade-off in implementing in-text advertising. It’s up to you to determine whether or not it’s the right move for your site.
The Good
The good part here is that it doesn’t interfere with Adsense and it allows you to monetize the actual text or verbiage of your site. From what I understand, you’re not compromising Google’s policies either, so you’re safe to use it in tandem with Adsense.
The Bad
The bad part is that it can be distracting to readers. Furthermore, the revenue generated from in-text advertising is typically very small in relation to overall revenue or when comparing it to programs like Adsense. Due to the low revenue, it might not be worth it.
