The following plan is meant to give you a guideline for blogging 30 minutes every day for a single year. In the plan, I tell you how you should spend each day, and I total up the estimated traffic along with hours worked for an estimate of how hard you’re working each week to gain the respective traffic.
The goal of this plan is to provide a clear cut strategy to blog for one year and at the end of that year have a decent traffic level of over 350 visits a day along with some steady growth rates. As you can see at the end of the year, for every .14 hours worked, you’re bringing in 100 visitors; or for every hour worked, you’re bringing in 714 visitors. That is a work to traffic ratio that many bloggers would envy!

To help you understand what some of the boxes mean, see the following explanations:
- Promote – Refers to promoting your blog through the following means: carnivals, message boards, commenting on other boards, forum participation, reaching our to readers and their comments, etc.
- Build Relationship With Other Bloggers - it’s very important to reach out and get to know other bloggers in your niche. Compare notes. Exchange links. Exchange guest posts. This serves to get the word out and maybe entice some other bloggers to help you out.
- Guest Posts – Write posts for other blogs. This enables you to showcase your knowledge and writing to an established audience and helps you build backlinks.
- Get Site Running - This refers to buying a domain, setting up a host, installing Wordpress, etc.
- Site Look & Feel - This refers to finding a theme, setting it up and tweaking to your needs.
